What is Little Steps?
Little Steps is a support platform for parents navigating the SEND system in England. It grew out of real daily work with families at a London nursery. We give you plain-English templates, step-by-step guides and a smart SEND guide that helps you work out exactly which documents you need and how to use them.
Who is Little Steps for?
Little Steps is for any parent or carer of a child with Special Educational Needs or a Disability in England. Whether you are just starting to look for support, mid-way through an EHCP process, or preparing for a tribunal hearing, we have resources to help.
Do I need to know anything about SEND before I start?
Not at all. Our intelligent guide is designed to understand your situation in plain language and direct you to the right resources. No prior knowledge required.
Is Little Steps available across England or only in London?
Our templates and guides are designed for the SEND system in England as a whole. We are based in London but our platform is available to families anywhere in England.
How do I know which template I need?
Use our smart SEND guide. Describe your situation and it will identify the right template for you. If you are still unsure, browse templates by category or contact our support team.
Are your templates legally reviewed?
Yes. All templates are reviewed against current SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice for England. They are updated when guidance changes. Templates are guidance tools and do not constitute legal advice.
Can I use the templates if English is not my first language?
Absolutely. We write in plain, clear English and avoid jargon wherever we can. You don't need to be a confident or native English speaker, because the templates are built so any parent can use them correctly, whatever their first language.
How often are templates updated?
Templates are reviewed at least annually and updated immediately whenever there is a relevant change in legislation or official guidance.
Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Yes. Monthly memberships can be cancelled at any time before your next renewal date with no penalty.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payments are processed securely.
Can I access a single template without subscribing?
